Infostudio Team's Digital Cookbook is a great cooking software with a lot of features and capabilities.

With Digital Cookbook you can easily store and organize your recipes in groups. Also, you can easily retrieve them from your local database using powerful search engine. You can search for recipes by the name, time needed for cooking, number of servings, or even by the nutrients contained in them. When you find the recipe you want, you can also print it. You can print multiple chosen recipes and thus make your own printed cookbook.

Every recipe can have detailed description, preparation instructions, list of ingredients needed for cooking and a picture.

	Digital Cookbook consists of several forms in which you can organize and manage you recipes, ingredients, recipe menus and measurement units. The main form is recipe form in which you can enter all information needed for one recipe - its name, description, contents, preparation instruction, picture and nutrition facts. Recipes are grouped in hierarchically organized in recipe groups. You can also change this organization, by adding new groups, deleting or renaming groups, or by organizing them simply by using drag & drop.
Digital Cookbook has a big database of pre-entered ingredients included. Thanks to that, you can easily select ingredients when entering your recipes. Ingredients are grouped in hierarchical organized ingredient types. You can also change this organization by adding new types, deleting or renaming types, or by reorganizing them simply by dragging and dropping them. Every ingredient has information about its nutrition values, and based on that values a nutrition analysis of recipes is performed.
	In calendar view it is possible to assign recipes to exact dates. With assigning recipes to dates you can create lists of ingredients needed for assigned recipes, just like in menus view. You can even select date interval and create list of ingredients it. Recipes can be assigned one by one, or copied from already created menus and it is done from very user friendly wizard dialog. It is also possible to print the report for selected date or selected date interval with detailed list of recipes and ingredients needed for them, for each day and for the whole date interval.
Powerful search engine is a part of Digital Cookbook. When searching for recipes, you can enter various criteria, like name and group, specify the desired value of some nutrients and even to choose which ingredients you like to be included or excluded in recipe. From the result list you can easily open selected recipe in recipe form, or to print it (one or more) with or without photos and nutrition analysis. You can also search the ingredients.
	If you want to have your recipes, menus or ingredients in paper form you can also print them using recipes report. Reports are configurable so you can choose if you want to print recipes with or without photographs attached, and with or without nutrition facts. Reports can be started either from recipe / ingredients / menu forms, or from search forms. When printing menus you get the complete list of all ingredients needed so you can use this report as a shopping list. Before printing on paper a nice "what you see is what you get" print preview is shown, so you can check and preview the report that is about to be printed.
Recipes in Digital Cookbook can be entered either by entering them manually, or by importing them from files. Currently there are several recipe formats supported: MasterCook, Meal Master and Computer Chef. Digital Cookbook is not be able to perform nutritional analysis for such imported recipes, because ingredients for them are not formally entered, but still you can manually enter nutrition facts for such recipes. Digital Cookbook is also capable of exporting recipes to those mentioned format plus HTML, so you can easily create your own on-line cookbook, by just selecting recipes and exporting them to HTML file.
	In options dialog you can set program parameters and that way to customize you copy of Digital Cookbook. There is a great set of options you can change in order to set the Digital Cookbook work for you exactly as you want it to do. In this dialog you can change the background color, save toolbars and main form positions and size, set the currency in which you want the recipe costs to be expressed, set the e-mail parameters for sending recipes to your friends, by mail and even to change the policy for keeping the database consistent. All options are pretty intuitive and well documented in help which is part of Digital Cookbook.
Digital Cookbook Plus version has, beside all standard features, a user management option. You can create any number of users which will be tracked by Digital Cookbook. User properties include their basic information, including the height (which is relevant for calculating various body factors) and even a picture. After at least one user is entered in Digital Cookbook Plus, all user related features are enabled. See below for the details. (ONLY PLUS VERSION)
	When at least one user is selected and activated, you can start entering the measures in user's diary. User's diary is actually a calendar oriented form in which you can enter measurements for each day. At this moment, those measures include, depending on user's gender: weight, chest skin thickness in chest, triceps, suprailiac, thigh region, and circumference of the waist and hips. Based on those measures, some important body factors are calculated: body mass index, body fat percentage, basal metabolic rate and waist to hip ratio. You can also take a picture and attach it to the date when it's taken. (ONLY PLUS VERSION)
Based on the measures taken and entered in user's diary, body mass index, body fat percentage, basal metabolic rate and waist to hip ratio are calculated. All those factors and user's weight can be tracked in diary, but also can be graphically presented, in a body measurements chart for selected date interval. This chart is also configurable, so you can see all the factors, or just those you want to see. Chart can also be zoomed and printed to paper. (ONLY PLUS VERSION)

Minimum requirements

Digital Cookbook requires the following hardware and software configuration in order to run properly:

• Any hardware configuration capable of running at least Windows 98 operating system
• At least 20 MB free space on hard disk.
• Windows 98 (or later) or Windows 2000 (or later)
• Microsoft Word 2000 or later, for using spell check and export to Word features (not necessary if you don't want to use it).

Recommended configuration:

• Pentium IV 1000+ MHz processor.
• 256+ MB of RAM
• At least 50 MB free space on hard disk.
• Windows XP (or later)
